BurnsAdler Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Announces Ernest C. Bourne will Join the Company as Chairman of the Board

Charlotte, North Carolina - (October 21, 2002) - BurnsAdler Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“BurnsAdler”) announced today that Ernest C. Bourne had accepted the position of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Bourne comes to the company from King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. where he was a member of the Board of Directors as well as the founder and President of King’s International division.

R. Banks Bourne, President of BurnsAdler, stated, “Ernie’s international transaction and operating experience with King Pharmaceuticals and prior investment banking career is a great asset to our company. We are pleased he has accepted the Chairman position in our company and know his leadership will make a significant contribution to BurnsAdler.”
